Oh, Charlotte and Niall. What an utterly gorgeous day they gave us at Merrydale Manor.
Craig and I are Travis Photo — a husband-and-wife wedding photography team from Worsley — and photographing their wedding at this beautiful exclusive-use Cheshire estate felt like slipping into someone else's fairytale for a little while. Merrydale sits in Over Peover, just outside Knutsford, with that long, dreamy drive through the parkland, the manor house glowing in the light, gardens that seem to go on forever, and rooms on site so everyone can stay and soak it all in. It really is one of those special places.
From the quiet, golden moments of getting ready to the soft hush of the ceremony room, and then out onto that lawn with everyone they love — it was warm, joyful, and full of the kind of little details that make a wedding feel like theirs. We always try to stay gently in the background and let the day unfold, catching those glances, hugs, and laughs that matter most.
And we have to say — the team at Merrydale were some of the absolute best we've ever worked with. Everyone was kind, calm, and so thoughtfully on top of everything. A special mention has to go to Neil, the master of ceremonies. Neil was wonderful. From helping the boys get ready in that smart red coat, right through the rest of the day, he kept everything running so smoothly — with that lovely mix of warmth and quiet authority that means couples (and their photographers) can actually breathe and enjoy it. Absolute master of his craft.
