Worsley Court House wedding photography (Salford)

Worsley Court House is a beautiful room to be married in, with chandeliers, warm timber and the stage at the end of the Main Hall. It's also just down the road from us, so it really does feel like home.

This is the other version. Craig and I are a husband and wife team based in Worsley. Our studio is in Walkden, at Linnyshaw Mill on Manchester Road. We've been Manchester wedding photographers for eleven years. The Court House is home turf, and we've shot there more than once. On our doorstep

It's right here in Worsley, a few minutes from our studio. The Court House is run by Venues in Salford, and the building sits in the middle of the place we actually live and work.

That matters for a photograph less than it matters for a Saturday. Your guests aren't spending the morning on the motorway, and neither are we. We know the light in that hall, and we know when the room starts to feel like a room again once the evening is going.

The Main Hall

What we work with, photographically, is the Main Hall as it is: chandeliers, timber and a stage. We're not going to invent a venue tour. You've already been, or you're about to book a showround.

The pictures from our days there are the ones that stay with us: a couple's first dance in that hall; the dance floor with a flower girl and a bridesmaid in the middle of it; and couple portraits that didn't need the room to perform. We like to suggest the two of you slip away for a chat and a portrait, without taking up the day. It's a proper occasion without anyone having to force it.

The three pictures at the bottom of this page are from another Court House Saturday: a quiet moment between the two of them, the dance floor once the evening got going, and a little one getting his bow tie sorted against the panelling.

This is still Greater Manchester, so the light will do what it does. Soft grey through the windows is not a write-off. If the day turns, we work with it, then we get you back into the hall.

Two of us

Craig and I shoot as a pair. You don't get a second photographer as a nice extra. You get both of us, because a wedding morning is two stories happening at once. Someone should be in with the speeches while the other is down the corridor with a flower girl who has had enough. If a grandparent needs a quiet chair and a minute, one of us will help them, and we'll always come back for the photo.

At the Court House that matters once the Main Hall fills up. One of us can stay with the dance floor, and the other can still make the quieter pictures, the ones that aren't for the group chat.

We're based in Worsley, and the Court House is in Worsley too. Local isn't a marketing line here. It's the same postcode area as the studio.

We contract 12 weeks to cover any accidents or ill health, but we've never taken longer than four weeks to return the photos, and it's getting shorter every year. Sometimes it's just a couple of days, and we can still send a preview sooner.

If you'd like something shorter, a ceremony-and-portraits option is possible, normally midweek or in winter.
