This is the other version. Jessica and I are a husband and wife team based in Worsley. Studio in Walkden, Linnyshaw Mill on Manchester Road. We've been Manchester wedding photographers for eleven years. The Court House is home turf. We've shot there more than once. On our doorstep

From the studio it's a short run. Not Cheshire. Not the Ribble Valley. Worsley. Venues in Salford run it — Salford Venues and the building sits in the middle of the place we actually live and work.

That matters for a photograph less than it matters for a Saturday. Your guests aren't spending the morning on the motorway. Neither are we. We know the light in that hall, and we know when the room starts to feel like a room again once the evening is going.

The Main Hall

What we're working, photographically, is the Main Hall as it is. Chandeliers. Timber. A stage. I'm not going to invent a venue tour. You've already been, or you're about to book a showround.

The pictures we already have from days there are the ones that stay with me: a couple's first dance in that hall; the dance floor with a flower girl and a bridesmaid in the middle of it; bride and groom portraits that didn't need the room to perform. It's a proper occasion without anyone having to force it.

This is still Greater Manchester. The light will do what it does. Soft grey through the windows is not a write-off. If the day turns, we work with it, then we get you back into the hall.

Two of us

Jessica and I shoot as a pair. You don't get a second photographer as a nice extra. You get both of us, because a wedding morning is two stories happening at once, and because someone should be in with the speeches while the other is down the corridor with a flower girl who has had enough. Grandparent who needs a chair. Fine. We'll come back.

At The Court House that matters once the Main Hall fills up. One of us can stay with the dance floor. The other can still make the quieter pictures — the ones that aren't for the group chat.

The standard wedding fee is £1500, and it's negotiable depending on distance and what you actually need. This isn't the other side of the country. We'll talk about it like grown-ups.
