Merrydale Manor wedding photography (Cheshire)
If you're searching for Merrydale Manor wedding photography, you've probably already seen the estate pitch — exclusive-use Cheshire manor near Over Peover, just outside Knutsford, with the lake, the parkland, and that long drive in. All true. And if you're a mum helping plan (or a couple trying to picture the day), what you really want to know is how it feels once you're there, and who's going to look after you.

The drive in
From Worsley it's a comfortable run into Cheshire towards Knutsford, then out to Over Peover (Chelford Lane, WA16 8UG). Far enough to feel like a proper escape, close enough that guests coming from Greater Manchester aren't spending half the morning on the motorway.
Exclusive use means that on a wedding Saturday the estate is yours. That changes the evening — people stay longer, the photographs breathe more, and nobody's watching the clock for the next booking.
The house, the lake, the grounds
The Irlams run Merrydale — Michael, Suzanne, Hattie — and they look after couples beautifully. What we're working with photographically is the estate as it really is: the ceremony space, the Merrydale Suite and bar, the manor house, the lake, the gardens, that driveway.
The lake is usually the first thing people mention, and yes — water is wonderful in photographs. So are a doorway, a quiet bit of garden, and the side of the house that isn't blasting white at midday. We use what's there. We won't keep you posing against every hedge while your guests are waiting.
North West light does what it does. Soft grey on the water can be gorgeous. If it rains, we work with it, then we get you back inside somewhere warm with a drink in your hand.

Both of us, all day
Craig and I always shoot as a pair. You don't get a second photographer as a nice optional extra — you get both of us. Wedding mornings are two stories at once, and later someone should be in with the speeches while the other is down the corridor with a flower girl who's had enough, or a grandparent who needs a chair. At a place the size of Merrydale, that really matters.
Charlotte and Niall
Charlotte and Niall married at Merrydale Manor and we were there for the whole day. Their photographs live on the journal linked above. Every wedding is different yours won't look like theirs, and that's exactly how it should be. We photograph people, not a venue brochure.
From Worsley
We're based in Worsley, studio in Walkden at Linnyshaw Mill on Manchester Road. Merrydale Manor is Cheshire, just outside Knutsford — an easy journey for us and for most of your Manchester guests.
