It's a popular estate right now, one of the Cheshire places people are actually booking. This page is ours because we have done a Saturday there. If you're in Greater Manchester looking for someone to work that house, you should be able to find us.
The drive in
From Worsley it's a run into Cheshire, not a weekend away. Towards Knutsford, then out to Over Peover. Chelford Lane, WA16 8UG. Within easy reach of Manchester.
The driveway comes through parkland. Exclusive use means that on a wedding Saturday the place is yours. Nobody else's wedding in the next room. We can take you out when the day allows it.
The house, the lake, the grounds
The Irlams run it. Michael, Suzanne, Hattie. What we're working, photographically, is the estate as it is: a ceremony room, the Merrydale Suite and bar, the manor house, a lake, gardens, that drive. There are rooms on site. That matters for your people more than it matters for a photograph, but it changes the evening. Guests who aren't watching the clock for a taxi stay in the pictures longer.
The lake is the thing people mention first. Fair. Water does a job in a photograph. So do the gardens, a doorway, and the side of the house that isn't blasting white. We use what's there. I'm not going to spend forty minutes arranging you against every hedge.
This is still the North West. The light will do what it does. Soft grey on the water is not a write-off. If it rains, we work with it, then we get you back inside.

Two of us
Jessica and I shoot as a pair. You don't get a second photographer as a nice extra. You get both of us, because a wedding morning is two stories happening at once, and because someone should be in with the speeches while the other is down the corridor with a flower girl who has had enough. Grandparent who needs a chair. Fine. We'll come back.

From Worsley
We're based in Worsley, studio in Walkden, Linnyshaw Mill on Manchester Road. Merrydale Manor is Cheshire, just outside Knutsford. Far enough to feel like you've left town. Close enough that your guests from Manchester aren't spending the morning on the motorway.
The standard wedding fee is £1500, and it's negotiable depending on distance and what you actually need. This isn't the other side of the country. We'll talk about it like grown-ups. More on the Investment page.
